I just read some news about multiple class action suits against STEC, INC. (STEC).   I would recommend getting out of this position now! 

Buy The Bounce

Buy the bounce tomorrow in STEC, Inc. (STEC).  STEC got hit hard today in the after hours.  Tomorrow, I am betting we will get a three dollar pop.  Buy the stock under $15.00 and sell it at $18.00.  STEC, Inc. designs, develops, manufactures, and markets custom memory solutions based on flash memory and dynamic random access memory (DRAM) technologies.  Good Luck

Short to intermediate term I am bearish on the markets.   This is going to a great buying opportunity when things settle out.  Stick with the UUP trade and stay heavy in cash.  We are going to get some tasty longs in the next month.  

Weak as Erkle at a powerlifting meet

The markets are acting very weak.  (Just as I said they would on Oct. 21)  The dollar has been gaining strength driving the prices of commodities down.  Lately, the stock market has been moving down as the dollar strengthens.  This is a strange world we live in.  What to do in these uncertain times?  Buy the Powershares US Dollar Bullish ETF (UUP) on weakness.  I think the dollar has formed a short term bottom that you can trade.  

Biotech is not a wreck

It is that time of year to start thinking about all those cool biotech drugs that are coming out in the near future.  With a full plate of biotechnology conferences coming out in the next few months this should provide a stimulus for this sector.  Let's avoid the individual biotech names and buy the (IBB) or (XBI) ETFs.

Let's Take Advantage

The end of day sell off was quite an event.  I think we could get a short period of weakness in the markets as the dollar bottoms and commodities prices drop.  This is a good time to start look at adding positions in names like....

Motorola (MOT) They have a cool new Android 2 phone coming out  (The Droid)

Entropic (ENTR) Their high-speed broadband access chipsets; integrated circuits for digital broadcast satellite DBS services, and silicon television tuner integrated circuits make this a nice company.

Dow 10,000

Hip hip hooray...  The Dow has hit 10,000..  Great Great Great...   So today I am watching Cramer and he brings up a company that I think looks pretty nice.  Applied Signal Technology (APSG) provides intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance solutions for the defense, intelligence, and homeland security markets.

Buy APSG Under $22.00 after the intial Cramer bump.  

Float The Amazon To Profit Land

With the economic downturn people are shopping more and buying more on the internet.  Amazon (AMZN) has an impressive business model and is a leader among online sales.  It’s the Walmart of the internet.  Book sales are nothing if they’re not listed on Amazon.  It’s become mainstream even for those not familiar with internet shopping.  Buy Amazon on a slight pullback between 79.71 and 82.21.  Or on a breakout of the most recent swing highs above 86.68.
